In the previous post, I explained you everything about Human Design aura and how your energy field attracts opportunities into your life.
In this post, we'll talk about STRATEGY and how to use it for getting into flow.
What does STRATEGY actually mean in Human Design?
In Human Design, Strategy is a method that connects your unique energy field with the flow of life. When you follow your Strategy, you attract into your life people, opportunities and environments that you need to become your authentic self and fulfil your energetic life purpose. Strategy also helps you make better decisions and recognise when you're on the right path and when you're off.
Let's dive into the Strategies of different types.
I'm a Generator
Generator's strategy is to RESPOND to life. It's the easiest and the hardest of the strategies. If you're a Generator, your Strategy requires you to surrender to what comes your way and trust your gut to pick and choose its responses. It's easy because all you have to do is wait for the opportunities that present itself and decide in the moment whether they excite you or not. And it's hard because your ego mind is going to go nuts about what you "should" be doing and how you "should" be acting on all ideas that it comes up with and how waiting is definitely the worst thing that you could be doing. I've wrote a bit more about why it's important to wait in this blog post.
I'm a Manifesting Generator
Manifesting Generator's strategy is similar to Generator's strategy in that they also need to wait to RESPOND to life. However, after responding Manifesting Generators also need to INFORM others before they actually jump into action. This is going to help them eliminate resistance from their path and also allow them to assess whether they actually want to jump into this activity or not. Manifesting Generators are very fast and may commit to things that are not correct for them unless they slow down and actually listen to their body.
I'm a Projector
Projector's strategy is to WAIT for invitation, especially when it comes to the major decisions in their life. If you're a Projector, you're here to guide others. However, you are not supposed to guide everyone, you're only supposed to guide those people who recognise you and invite you into their lives. This means that you need to wait for a direct request for your presence, your input, your words or your friendship. Something that will confirm to you that the person sees you, recognises you and wants you and your contribution, not anyone else's. This requires a great deal of trust and mastering demons of unworthiness and self-doubt ("What if no one invites me?"), all of which are the product of our ego mind.
I'm a Manifestor
Manifestor's strategy is to INFORM others about their plans. If you're a Manifestor, this is probably not something that comes naturally to you. You love to do your thing and you don't normally ask for help. Frequently, you are so immersed into what you do that you don't even think how your actions and decisions impact the people around you. But they do, your aura makes sure that they do! Informing people who might be affected by your decisions removes resistance from your path and allows you to experience more freedom and peace that you desire so much. Remember: informing is not the same as asking for permission or approval. You don't need anyone's approval or validation, you have your own. You're just clearing your path and initiating other people, who need you to respond or be invited.
I'm a Reflector
Reflector's strategy is to WAIT a lunar cycle. If you're a Reflector, you need plenty of time to make important decisions, to talk them through with your trusted circle of friends, and to come to a decision that feels right for you. Your ego mind might rush you into making spontaneous decisions, or judge you for being so slow, but don't get hooked on that. The truth will be revealed to you in time, and so many good opportunities will come to you if you just allow yourself to wait and be surprised by what life has in store for you.
How to experiment with your Strategy in your life?
Here are a few things you can do right now to experiment with your Strategy:
- Feel into what comes up for you when you learn about your Strategy? What stories come up for you? How do they make you feel?
- Write them down and ask your self - are these stories true? Can I absolutely know that they are true? What is true about them? And what if they aren't true?
- Consider how you could experiment with your Strategy in your life. In which situations do you feel comfortable relying on your Strategy? In which you don't? What do you rely on instead? What would happen if you allowed yourself to lean into your Strategy and trust that everything will be fine?
